What the **** am I up to?

Spring 2010 Updates

Things went surprisingly well at the Buffalo Small Press Book Fair this weekend. Me and Sal sold out of all 30 copies of our split comic and I sold a few sketches/panels that were comic related. I was really surprised at the diversity and size of the crowd, it was a pretty great experience. I think Sal and I will definitely be making a second one.

Thank you everyone who came out to support my first attempt at comics. I really appreciated it.

I am working on putting together some packages together but rewriting my statement is stressing me out a little bit so I have been putting it off like a bad term paper.

I have a few big projects I am more than excited to start working on and have started arranging my studio to accommodate working on larger pieces. One of the projects might placate everyone who has been asking to see things backlit in a big way. I won’t ruin the surprise until I have one completely finished though so you can just imagine what that might mean.

February is the king of months

Posted in Shows by Esther on December 28, 2009

By king I really meant demanding but I didn’t want to be intentionally hurtful. (Sorry February you seem like a pretty nice month) I have three separate projects due together:

1. 12+ new pieces for my solo show at the Carnegie Art Center February 4th.
2. Small sculpture for Alzhiemer Association’s charity auction February 2ndish.
3. 10 pages of short comics for a split release with B2GS’s Salvatore Sciandra February 5thish.

I opted in for all of them and they will be complete on time (and awesome mind you) but piling them together in my mind is kind of making me sweat. Time to do some sketching.
